Fred Herren Fred Herren, age 78, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Margaret Ann Bennett of Fort Worth, Texas. Most recently, he was involved in sales and service of office equipment.
Fred is survived by his wife, Janis; daughter, Kathleen Herren Jones of Garland, Texas; son-in-law, Carl Jones; sister and brothers-in-law, Frances and Ken Doshier of Lubbock, Texas, Jon Bennett of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Landon Jeffery Jones, Nicholas Bryant Jones; two nieces; three nephews; and many cousins and friends. Jim was an avid pilot and golfer; he enjoyed playing at the El Dorado Country Club.
Ricky Hill Ricky Hill, 65, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Graveside services were held on Wednesday, in Childress Cemetery with Trey Morgan, Pastor of Childress Church of Christ, and Dr. A lifelong resident of Childress, he loved the outdoors.
Services were held Saturday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel with Charlie Cox officiating. When weather permitted, he could often be found hunting, fishing or camping.
